Beach Wedding Dresses
Many designers are taking notice of the trend to elope and marry in a place other than a couples home town. With an average home wedding greatly exceeding the needed amount to place a down payment on a decent home, many couples are getting married on a vacation. Many couples are choosing to board a cruise to the Caribbean and are getting married on the beach with an average of about 12 on looking friends and family.
Thus Alfred Angelo and many other wedding dress designers have now started a destination line which includes short versions of the modern wedding dress. These wedding dresses generally have all the luxuries of their formal counterparts with tulle, lace and ribbons, but they are short and cute.
Alfred Angelo has named their line 'Destiny' and includes several destination appropriate gowns. These gowns are generally lightweight making them easy to carry onboard a plane. They also feature material that does not need additional pressing once they arrive to the location. Once tulle and lace are hung up, they are generally ready to be worn without pressing. This is not the case with formal satins. Formal satins and silks can crinkle at a moments notice which can pose a problem for a destination bride who is to be married in a few moments and does not have a dress shop or cleaners nearby to eradicate the situation.
Many destination locations also have formal gown and tuxedo shops making it easy for a couple who decides to marry and want to leave all the little details to a professional. A destination wedding can generally be achieved with less than $5,000 allowing the wedding couple to spend the additional $20,000 that it would have taken to marry at home on a new home and other luxuries to get their family started.
